MSc. Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing is a Two-Year Postgraduate academic programme offered in different specialities. The aim of the programme is to prepare post graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators and researchers in a wide variety of professional settings. The programme is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, Karnataka Nurses' and Midwives’ Council and approved by Govt. of Karnataka.

The College offers MSc. Nursing in four broad specialities (Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing and Mental Health Nursing) with an annual intake of 36 students. Medical-Surgical Nursing is offered in four sub-specialities such as Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Neurosciences Nursing and Nephro-Urology Nursing. Clinical experiences in all the specialities are provided in the parent hospital, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. Affiliation is taken from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore for clinical experience in Mental Health Nursing.

The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife of equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Class 10th and 12th Certificate along with its mark sheet.

Graduation degree along with the mark sheet.

Date of birth certificate.

Valid Id Proof such as Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Passport etc.

Recent coloured photographs of the candidate.
